Bhakti Yoga
Bhakti Yoga is one of the four classical roots of yoga, alongside Jnana Yoga (knowledge of Self), Karma Yoga (action), and Raja Yoga (meditation), with each offering a path to Self-realization and liberation. Bhakti Yoga is the yoga of devotion or divine love mysticism and has ancient roots in the Upanishads and the Bhagavad Gita. Bhakti yogis seek an intimate understanding of oneness and harmony with the eternal individual and the Divine (Universal Being). The ultimate goal of Bhakti yoga is to reach a state of rasa, (essence), a feeling of pure bliss achieved in the devotional surrender to the Universal Being.
